Chevrolet Corvette ZR1

The Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 is a luxury sports model exclusively designed to compete with the most exotic sports cars in the world. The car being one of the Top 10 cars in the 2008 Detroit Auto Show comes with a sixth generation Supercharged 6.2Litre V-8 Engine producing a horsepower of 620 with 595lb-ft of Torque at a 6-Speed close ratio manual transmission. It has a new high-capacity dual disc clutch delivering power to the rear axle contributing to the excellent and smooth shifting and equipped with carbon-ceramic, drilled disc brake rotors with 15.5 inches diameter in the front and 15 inches diameter in the rear end.

The car has many reasons to boast about the design of exteriors and the interiors like carbon-fiber front fenders with ZR1-specific dual vents and the Michelin Pilot Sport 2 tires especially developed for the ZR1. It comes only in two options i.e. chrome wheels and a “luxury” package. The polycarbonate window of all-carbon-fiber provides the top view of the engine's inter-cooler. The components of the ZR1 have been uniquely built to result in a high performance and the fastest car ever manufactured by General Motors. The car is said to outperform Ferrari 599 and also Porsche 911 GT2 and is expected to achieve a top speed of atleast 200mph!!
